Customer Advisory: Beware of Counterfeit Products

Dear Valued Customers,

 

We have recently become aware of products offered on certain online marketplaces that may not be genuine AvantHealth® products.

 

Your safety and confidence in our products matter to us. Before purchasing or consuming Avtriee® Mixed Tocotrienols 100mg or 200mg, please follow the checks below.

 

1. Check the Packaging and Product Features

Genuine Avtriee® Mixed Tocotrienols products have the following features:

  • A sealed box with shrink-wrap packaging.
  • An official hologram security label.
  • An intact safety seal beneath the bottle cap.
  • A registered MAL number printed on the packaging.
  • A bottle approximately 10 cm in height.
  • The registered trademark symbol (®) accompanying the brand and product names.
  • Oblong-shaped softgels consistent with the images on our official website and social media channels.

 

The 100mg variant features orange packaging, while the 200mg variant features red packaging.

 

Use these visual checks together with hologram verification.

 

 

2. Verify the Hologram Security Label

For products bearing the newer FarmaTag hologram label:

  1. Download or update the MyUBAT app through your phone’s official app store.
  2. Open the app and select “Verify Security Label Authenticity”.
  3. Follow the on-screen instructions to scan the hologram on the packaging.
  4. Review the verification result and check that any product details displayed match your purchase.
  5. Save a screenshot of the result for reference.

For products bearing older FarmaTag labels, use the FarmaChecker app to verify the hologram.

 

If verification is unsuccessful, the displayed details do not match, or you are unsure about the result, do not consume the product.

3. Purchase from Trusted Sources

Purchase only from official AvantHealth® stores and authorised distributors or retailers.

 

Check the seller’s name and store profile, and exercise caution when products are offered at unusually low prices.

 

You may contact us to confirm whether a seller or promotional offer is authorised.

 

4. What to Do if You Suspect a Counterfeit

Do not consume the suspected product.

 

Keep the product, packaging, and proof of purchase for verification.

 

Submit a report through the Ministry of Health’s SisPAA portal at https://moh.spab.gov.my, or contact AvantHealth® with the following:

  • Seller’s name and store details.
  • Product listing or marketplace link.
  • Clear photographs of the packaging, bottle, hologram, MAL number, batch number, and expiry date.
  • Purchase receipt or order details.
  • Screenshot of the hologram verification result, if available.
